APA Standards 7th edition 2020

The APA standards have their origin in 1929, when a group of psychologists, anthropologists, and business administrators agreed to establish a set of standards or rules that help codify various components of scientific writing in order to facilitate reading comprehension. As in other editorial styles (see ICONTEC Standards, IEEE Standards), APA standards focus on defining the uniform use of elements such as:Margins and document formatting. Punctuation and abbreviations. Font sizes. Construction of tables and figures. Citation of references The latest version of the APA standards corresponds to the seventh edition, this manual has more than 300 pages. One of the main reasons for using APA standards in their publication is that it is one of the most widely accepted standards internationally.
