Description
Science is a challenge that never gets boring. On the internet, we find publications with new ideas globally (2.5 million publications each year), contributing and simultaneously competing worldwide with fresh ideas that keep us young. This commits us to strengthening our critical thinking, leading it to scientific debates and classrooms, as it is clear that the only way to reaffirm and question our knowledge is when we manage to explain complex things simply.
When we correctly incentivize our students, we create that need to contribute to research here and anywhere in the world. We encourage them to return to curiosity with the clear understanding that it can be fun and sometimes frustrating, but always with the certainty of getting up from every fall and being humble to work as a team, as others, somewhere, are thinking towards the same goal.
Researchers must commit to contributing to their society. It is clear that to contribute, they do not work alone; they require the support and commitment of the university, strategic partners, and funding that invests in the ideas of Ecuadorians themselves who understand and experience the problems of their environment. We hope that Ecuadorian researchers will be motivated to develop technologies in the country and that we will also import them.
The Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas, through its academic domains of applied sciences and strengthened by technical and life sciences engineering, Human, Social, and Administrative Sciences, Security and Defense, has distributed its research lines that contribute with competent professors from Departments and Centers, executing research projects with more than 50% of professors from their Departments, organized into 18 research groups.
The Research Management Unit (UGIN) organizes and coordinates research-related activities, for which it executes coordination and monitoring processes for the Research System, registration and dissemination of project results at the institutional level, monitors the transfer and application of research project results, supports researcher mobility, indexed publications, book editing, and the work of each Department in the generation and indexing of scientific journals.
